Social Software

Social Software – What is social software? Social software allows you to start your own social network community or social community. With a social software package, you can start a site like Facebook, MySpace, Friendster, Tribe and other recognizable social communities. Most people create what they call niche market social sites or specialty sites. An example would be like if you like music, so you would want to create a social site strictly for people that like music. You can even go so far as to create your own niche music social site. Like 80’s music. Believe me, no one has all the niche markets figure out and they never will.

Dating software kind of morphed itself into social software when sites thought about attracting more members by offering free services. People wanted their own areas within sites so groups and friends were added to the dating software and there you go, that is how it got started.

Social software really hasn’t changed much in the year or two that it’s been on the market. You really can’t modify the core components of it but you sure can add utilities that bring people together and that is what I believe social software is doing now.

Finding a good PHP social software script is very easy, there all over the Internet. Finding the best one is the problem. There are a lot of cheap and free ones so watch out. Be sure to look over the whole demo before you purchase it. Be sure to read our reviews on them before you go laying down some cash for social software.

Getting custom work done to a social site can be difficult too. Prices range from $7 dollars an hour to $50 dollars an hour depending on what social software vendor you go with.

So, before you decide on the social software or dating scripts that you want, figure out what idea you are going with. Be creative and if you are not creative, go with what you like. Starting a social software site based on your favorite hobby is a great idea.
