I get this question more than any other question. The question is that if I buy dating software, will I still be able to make money with it. The answer is yes. The key to making money with a dating site or social site is to have members and to get members, you have to have something they want and that is content. Whether it’s in the form of new members, new blogs, new articles or anything that the member might be interested it, then your site is capable of making money.
Traffic equals members and members equal money. Even if you don’t charge for membership then you can still run Adsense or Adbrite to monetize your site. Now, the question is not can my site make money, it then becomes how much money can I make? Some people make a few dollars a day advertising on their site and some make hundreds of dollars per day. The possibilities are endless.
Some people often ask me about whether I should start a dating site or a social site. The answer is that it doesn’t matter. If you try to go after a niche market and can provide content for that market then you can do either one. I have a profitable dating site as well as a profitable social networking site. So, it really doesn’t matter. It actually doesn’t have to be a dating or social site. If you sell light bulbs and you can generate traffic to your light bulb website then you can make money.
