Do you really want all those meaningless features built into your dating software? I didn’t think so. So, what are the features that you need? Here’s the deal. You don’t need all kinds of bells and whistles in your dating software. Just focus on a niche market and attack it. Figure out the type of site you want and throw up a dating site for pete sakes. Features are much ado about nothing in my eyes.
Sure features will give your site a good look but that’s it. At the end of the day people want to see content and content is key. Content is members and by members, you need a lot of them. So, once you get your niche market idea ready, get the dating software and then fill it with members. If you are starting a dating site for cat lovers then find a domain name about dating and cats, register it, get hosting and buy some really affordable/reliable dating software and change the logo. Then tell all your friends and then start giving your site linkbacks with other cat related sites. Be sure to only link with sites that are higher PR than yours. Don’t do link farms!!!
In closing, you don’t need all these really cool features. Standard dating software with search, email, chat and IM is about all you need. Believe me, if you have tons of members in your niche market dating site then you will make money if you are charging monthly memberships.
